Turns the screen black when turned on. Turning off the trap will restore the screen. In Thief 1, the screen jumps back immediately, Thief 2 will gradually fade in, but has the side-effect of clearing the currently selected item and weapon. System Shock 2 doesn’t have side-effects and also can fade to any color.
Fading is disabled when the configuration variable no_endgame is set. This is a commonly enabled option in Dromed for testing mission objectives. But it’s easy to forget and you may wonder why the script isn’t working.
