Schema→Attenuation Factor

A floating point value.

Not available in schema files; must be set manually on the schema archetype.

For schemas played on an object or at a location, the distance to the object is divided by this value, before being used to decide how loud the sound should be played. So a value of 2.0 will make the sound louder, as if it was only half as far away.

Useful for schemas that you want the player to reliably be able to here, such as important conversations, or audio logs like Karras’s victrola messages; or for effects that should be much louder than normal sounds, such as explosions or alarms.
