Glossary (T—V)

T

Terrain Point

A marker that is the destination for a moving terrain object. Terrain points can be linked together with TPath links to create a sequence of destinations. The moving terrain object is linked to the first terrain point with a TPathInit link.

TerrPoint

TPoint

Trap

An object, usually a fnord, that responds to a TurnOn or TurnOff message.

Trigger

An object, usually a fnord, that generates a TurnOn or TurnOff message. Most triggers will relay their messages along ControlDevice or, in System Shock 2, SwitchLink links.

Tweq

A state of an object that changes over a period of time, and can change other properties to reflect the new state. There are tweqs that control the size of an object, it’s orientation, object model, or position of sub-models. There are also tweqs that act as a trigger, create other objects, or destroy the object. Tweqs can be periodic or self-terminating, and are often controlled by a trigger.
